Although we love dogs, we operate a strict no dog’s policy for visitors (apart from assistance, therapy and support dogs or those competing).
• Most main avenues are crowded and unsuitable for visitors walking dogs
• There are a number of livestock and equine areas on the showground and some animals are easily agitated in the presence of strange dogs and vice versa.
• Unfortunately not all dog owners are responsible cleaning up dog waste after them and this could present a hygiene issue for other visitors.
• Dogs are not permitted to remain in cars in the car parks owing to the risk of heat exhaustion and the same principle applies to walking them around the Showground for long periods on hot days.
Dogs are extremely sensitive to heat, and even on a mildly warm day they can quickly overheat if they are left in cars or made to take part in unnecessary exertion. Think of your dog and don’t leave it in the car as they can die if left unattended even in the shade with windows left open and water available.
Opening times for Countryside Live are: 9am – 5pm on both days.
Advance online ticket sales are due to go on sale at the end of August 2019.
Advance ticket sales end: Paper (via post) by Friday 11th October and e-tickets (which must be printed out) by 5pm on Friday 18th October 2019.
After these dates tickets will be available to purchase on the gate.

We aim to make visiting Countryside Live a comfortable and enjoyable experience for people with disabilities and welcome any observations on further improvements. Please find details regarding accessibility for visitors:
An area of car park near the main entrance is the designated car park for disabled visitors. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Disabled permits must be clearly visible and access will only be granted to registered disabled drivers or their carers. Parking spaces cannot be reserved.
Inside the showground
The majority of walkways are of hard-standing and most public buildings and animal areas have ramps or are accessible by wheelchairs. Whilst we try to ensure that the grass avenues are flat, the Showground is on a sloping site which means that some degree of effort is required to push a wheelchair around.
Tickets for disabled visitors & carers
Disabled visitors may bring a carer free of charge. We just ask for proof of care requirement such as personal independence payment, disability living allowance, carers allowance, blue badge registration number and this must be arranged in advance by calling 01423 541222 (open until 12th October). Please also bring this with you on the day.
After 11th October 2019, we advise that visitors can only request carer tickets on the gate. Advance tickets (e-tickets) are available to purchase until 5pm on Friday 18th October 2019. To obtain a carer ticket on the gate, please bring proof of care requirement with you.
The majority of toilets on the Showground have disabled facilities.
Wheelchair / scooter hire
Please note that Countryside Live does not operate a wheelchair or scooter hire service.
We don’t provide pre-entry numbers in advance of Countryside Live, as not all entries necessarily come forward on the day.
